The Jewish Lyceum № 144 named after Levy-Itzhak Shneerson held an “Open Doors Day” for future first graders and their parents.
“This day was the beginning of an extraordinary history, where every child is the main hero, because today our educational institution received extremely dear and valuable guests – our future first graders and their parents, Svetlana Romenskaya, deputy director of the lyceum, told our website, – for the future first graders the most charming moment was meeting their first teacher – Svitlana Palukh. Her chuckle drowned out any anxiety, and her words inspired new accomplishments. The children enjoyed getting to know each other one by one, looked around the classroom with interest and caught every word of the teacher, and even actively responded, bringing their hands. Svitlana Anatoliyivna also met with the parents and told them about the preparation of children for the 1st grade. Nadiya Tonkonog, a speech therapist, and Valeriya Ryazanova, a practical psychologist of the school, also started getting to know the children in order to find out their level of development and preparation for school.
While the children were getting acquainted with their future first teacher, Elena Krasnova, the director of the lyceum, held a meeting with parents, where she shared her vision of the peculiarities of education at the Jewish lyceum, emphasizing the importance of an individual approach to each child. At this meeting, parents had the opportunity to ask their questions and share their expectations.
