Purim 5785 in Dnipro was celebrated brightly and joyfully, and festive events covered numerous Jewish locations in the city. In particular, in the operating Beit Chabads of various districts, the celebration continued both in the evening – with the onset of the holiday, and in the morning of the next day.
At the “Beit Chabad on Polya” institution, both the evening and morning reading of the Suva Megilat Esther was conducted by the rabbi of this Beit Chabad, Levi Engelsman, and one of them was attended by the Chairman of the Council of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine, Rabbi Meir Zvi Stambler.
After the reading of the Megilah, all participants gathered for a festive treat, which was accompanied by a concert performance by Valery Litman, a well-known performer in the Jewish community of Dnipro.
“In our “Beit Chabad on the Fields”, the celebration of Purim was very emotional and moving,” noted Rabbi Levi Engelsman. “I want to express my deep gratitude to the Chief Rabbi of Dnipro and the region, Shmuel Kaminetsky, and the Jewish community of Dnipro, thanks to whom both the celebration and the daily activities of our Beit Chabad bring many Jews of the Central District of the city closer to the Torah and the fulfillment of the commandments.”
