How Does the Almighty Distribute Luck? Why Is It Important to Bless One Another? | Parshas Naso

A new episode in the weekly lesson series by Chief Rabbi of Dnipro Shmuel Kaminezki has been released on the “Menorah” YouTube channel, dedicated to the Torah portion of Naso. In this lesson, the Rav addresses one of the most complex and compelling topics – how blessings work in a person’s life, why some prayers are answered while others remain unanswered, and what significance a person’s attitude toward others holds.

The portion of Naso discusses the blessing of the Kohanim, spiritual purity, service in the Mishkan, and a person’s responsibility to the Almighty and to society. A special place in this portion is occupied by the famous Priestly Blessing – ancient words through which, as the Rav explains, the connection between a person and Divine blessing is revealed.

In his explanation, Rav Shmuel Kaminezki emphasizes that true spiritual help comes when a person is able to think not only about themselves but also about others. A blessing cannot be sustained in an atmosphere of egoism, quarrels, and indifference, whereas a sincere desire for good for one’s fellow, unity, and care for one another open the path to true miracles and Divine assistance.

Special attention is given to how the power of kind words, the prayers of tzaddikim, and human unity are capable of changing reality. The Rav explains why blessings, prayers at the graves of the righteous, and the tradition of wishing one another well are so important in Judaism. He also reveals the profound meaning of the Priestly Blessing and the sanctity of the tallit.

This episode will be of interest to anyone seeking spiritual support, wishing to gain a deeper understanding of the laws of Jewish tradition, and learning how to properly address the Almighty – not only with requests for themselves but also with care for other people.
