In the kindergarten “Beit Zindlikht” (“Communal institution of preschool education (kindergarten) № 115 Dniprovsk city council”) the theme of this week was different professions and familiarization with them.
The children of Beit Zindlicht got acquainted with some professions directly during the excursion – they visited the director’s office, then went to the kitchen to see the cook and learn how he works, and then on a walk they observed the work of the janitor and the security guard. In their group rooms the children were able to learn about professions that do not exist on the territory of the kindergarten – the children played builders, firemen, policemen, farmers, military, hairdressers, salesmen. The games, costumes and stories of the educator broadened the children’s horizons and formed an adequate picture of the world.
“We wanted to show the children the variety of professions and that each of them deserves respect and interest, each of them is useful and is an important part of our society,” Malka Averbuch, the educator of “Beit Zindlicht” told our website, “the children liked all the professions, but most of all they were excited about the work of the doctor, with his stethoscopes, tonometers and other amazing devices, the work of which they were able to see and even try.
