The Dnipro Jewish Community is pleased to present a video clip dedicated to an important and joyful event – the completion and donation of a new Sefer Torah to the Chabad community of Vinnytsia, in the merit of Igor Kolomoisky, son of Zoia, for his speedy release and long life, created and gifted by his friends and the Dnipro Jewish Community.
This video report captures the atmosphere of special spiritual joy that accompanied the ceremony of completing the Sefer Torah. The solemn event was attended by numerous members of the Dnipro Jewish Community, a delegation from the Vinnytsia community led by the city’s Chief Rabbi Shaul Horowitz, as well as students and teachers of “Tomchei Tmimim Yeshiva Ktana Ukraine.” The footage captures the writing of the final letters of the Sefer Torah, the ceremonial dressing of the Torah scroll, the festive procession under the Chuppah through the galleries of the Menorah Center, the march through the historic Jewish quarter of Dnipro, and the bringing of the new Sefer Torah into the “Golden Rose” Central Synagogue, where traditional hakafos took place.
The presented video clip allows one to relive these inspiring moments, witness the genuine emotions of the participants, and feel the atmosphere of unity, gratitude, and spiritual uplift that accompanied the transfer of the new Sefer Torah to the Vinnytsia community. It stands as another vivid testament to the unbreakable connection between the Jewish communities of Ukraine, the development of which is consistently supported by the united and cohesive Dnipro Jewish Community under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.
