JBBBS participants kick off the school year with a fun trip to the movies

The JBBBS (Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters) project of the Dnipro Jewish Community has been providing children with the warmth of communication, friendship, and support from older brother and sister volunteers for many years. Every program meeting is a small adventure that leaves behind genuine memories.

“Summer has passed, the holidays have come to an end, and the children have returned to school. But it’s important to end the break on a positive note,” shares project manager Tatiana Kaplunskaya. “That’s why we gathered for another meeting: the children came to see their friends and volunteers, and together we went to the movies to watch a fun cartoon about the mischievous Smurfs.

This story was not just entertainment for the children. It showed them how important it is to not be afraid to take responsibility, support friends, and believe in their own strength. Together, the participants laughed, shared emotions, and once again saw how JBBBS meetings inspire friendship and mutual support.

Once again, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Jewish communities of Boston and Dnipro for their constant support, as well as special thanks to Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki for his care and inspiration.

We invite you to join our community too! You can look forward to warm meetings, new friends, and the feeling of being part of a real team. For details, call 068-480-30-52 (Natalia).”
