JBBBS Project Begins Rosh Hashanah Preparation at “Crazy Land”

The JBBBS (Jewish Big Brothers\Big Sisters) project of the Jewish Community of Dnipro is a special program that unites children, their parents, and volunteers into a warm, friendly community. On Sunday, the program once again gathered its participants, their parents, and older volunteer friends. This time, preparation for the Rosh Hashanah holiday took place in an unusual format: a fun and educational meeting with a quiz for ingenuity and various entertainments was held at the children’s center “Crazy Land.”

A special part of the day was conducted by Rachel Milman, director of the “Chaya Mushka” machon – her lesson was dedicated to the traditions and spiritual significance of the Jewish New Year. “Communication, trust, and sincere emotions – this is exactly what our program exists for,” emphasizes project manager Tatiana Kaplunskaya. “And indeed: such meetings help children discover the world of traditions in a light, playful form, teach them to work in a team, develop sociability and self-confidence.

No less important is the support of volunteers – big brothers and sisters. Their care gives participants a sense of warmth and security. And you only need to look at the shining eyes and sincere smiles of the children in the photos to understand: everything was successful! It’s precisely for such moments that we want to continue working.”

The JBBBS program develops thanks to the support of the Jewish communities of Boston and Dnipro, as well as the special care and inspiration of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki. It is thanks to this support that the project, which is part of the Kegila Project, grows and unites more and more people.
