JBBBS: Season finale for the BBBS program and the girls’ boarding house.

They say the best moments fly by the fastest. And, perhaps, that is why these days at the Kokhavi recreation center flew by almost imperceptibly for the meeting — but left behind so many warm memories, emotions and smiles.

This trip was the season finale for the BBBS program and the girls’ boarding house — and it was definitely held in a way that will be remembered for a very long time.

Kokhavi welcomed us with sun, warmth and a real atmosphere of relaxation. We enjoyed walks in the fresh air, talked a lot, and the wonderful weather gave us the opportunity to swim in the pool to our hearts content and enjoy the first days of summer.

But just relaxing is definitely not what JBBBS is about. The program was packed from morning to evening: we created our own little masterpieces at creative workshops, unleashed our imagination during art improvisation, competed in sports games, tested our attentiveness and luck at bingo, watched cartoons and found time for long conversations with friends.

The last evening was especially warm – an open-air dinner and a meeting by the fire with goodies. Although it is difficult to call it a “gathering”, because we hardly had to sit: we sang, danced and had fun from the heart.

Such trips are not just about rest. They are about new acquaintances, friendship, support, bright emotions and that special vibe that is created only when you have your own people around you. And the numerous photos will remind us of these wonderful days for a long time.

Program coordinator Tetyana Kaplunska notes: “We sincerely thank everyone who made this trip and such a diverse leisure time possible. Special thanks to the city’s chief rabbi Shmuel Kaminezky for his constant support of our ideas and concern for the development of the program.

We are ending this season with many pleasant moments in our hearts – and we are already looking forward to new meetings!”
