Jewish Lyceum and Its Teachers Receive Mayor’s Gratitude

The Levi Yitzchak Schneerson Jewish Lyceum No. 144, a leading educational institution of the Dnipro Jewish Community, was honored with a Certificate of Gratitude from Mayor Borys Filatov for its fruitful cooperation, high professionalism, and active participation in the city’s community initiatives.

The award was presented as part of a special event titled “Dnipro Education: Creating the Future Today,” held to mark Education Workers’ Day. The event served as a platform for sharing experiences, discussing important educational projects, and honoring the most creative and dedicated teachers.

Over 120 teachers from various educational institutions, as well as representatives from the fields of education, culture, and sports, took part in the city-wide celebration. It is a pleasure to note that teachers from the Jewish Lyceum—Svitlana Chernyshova, Alla Lytvynenko, and Olha Borysenko—also received personal Certificates of Gratitude from Mayor Borys Filatov, who presented them with the honorary award.

“For us, this award is a great honor and at the same time a stimulus to move forward,” emphasized the Lyceum’s director, Olena Krasnova. “I want to thank the entire teaching staff for their conscientious work, inspiration, and daily care for the children. Thanks to our fruitful work, supported by the Dnipro Jewish Community and its Chief Rabbi, Shmuel Kaminezki, our lyceum educates the younger generation in the spirit of Jewish values and knowledge and achieves new victories and recognition.”

The Mayor’s Gratitude serves as an important confirmation that the work of the teachers at the Levi Yitzchak Schneerson Jewish Lyceum No. 144 is highly valued not only within the community but also on the scale of the entire city.
