According to the published results of the most important ranking of secondary education institutions in Ukraine, the Jewish Lyceum No. 144 named after Levi Yitzchak Schneerson, a leading educational institution of the Jewish Community of Dnipro, has been ranked among the top five in the city and the region.
Our lyceum achieved this high position based on the results of its graduates’ performance on the official NMT (National Multi-Subject Test). The ranking was formed based on the results of the 2025 national multi-subject test, taken from the official statistics of the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment. The ranking includes schools with 10th-11th grades (the third level of complete general secondary education) whose graduates took at least 15 tests. A school’s position in the ranking is influenced by both the participants’ scores and the total number of NMTs taken. The full ranking results can be viewed here.
Thus, the Jewish Lyceum of Dnipro secured fifth place among 369 secondary education institutions in the region. Notably, it achieved second place in the Ukrainian language and third place in mathematics. Our lyceum could have ranked even higher overall but trailed slightly behind the leaders in English (10th place in the city, 20th in the region) and history (19th place in the city, 33rd in the region).
An official statement from the lyceum’s administration said: “This result is a shared achievement of our talented graduates and highly professional teachers! Special thanks to the teachers who put their heart and soul into their work every day:
- Tetiana Ivashkova – Mathematics teacher,
- Svitlana Chernyshova – Ukrainian language teacher,
- Olena Raskina – English language teacher,
- Olha Skytiashyna – History teacher.
We thank everyone for their fruitful work, inspiration, and dedication!”
This high ranking among the best educational institutions is the result of consistent, systematic work not only by the administration and teaching staff but also of the constant attention and support provided to the institution by the Jewish Community of Dnipro and the city’s leadership.
“We are proud of this high ranking and of being in the Top 5 best secondary education institutions in both the city and the region,” said the lyceum’s director, Olena Krasnova. “First and foremost, we thank our wonderful Jewish Community of Dnipro and its Chief Rabbi, Shmuel Kaminezki, personally, for this achievement.”
