Our website is delighted to announce that Kyrylo Afanevych, a congregant of the “Golden Rose” Synagogue, has made the momentous decision to enter the Covenant of Abraham.
The brit milah ceremony took place at the Jewish Medical Center (JMC). The ceremony was performed by the Chief Mohel of Ukraine and Moldova, a representative of the international organization “Brit Yosef Yitzchak,” Rabbi Yakov Gaysinovich.
The honored role of the sandak was bestowed upon the esteemed Rabbi Shneur Zalman Futerfas, secretary of the beit din. The blessings were recited by Rabbi Reuven Milman of the “Golden Rose” Synagogue, who proclaimed: “And may he be named Gershon in the nation of Israel!”
Rabbi Milman noted the significance of the event: “Today, my mekurav has entered the covenant of Abraham Avinu. Everything unfolded in a completely unexpected way: Kyrylo came to pray and left as Gershon – bound by a sacred commandment. I wish to express my profound gratitude to our Jewish community, led by the Chief Rabbi of Dnipro, Shmuel Kaminezki, which helps everyone draw closer to the Torah and the fulfillment of the Almighty’s commandments.”
