“Menorah Community celebrated its two-year anniversary

The youth project “Menorah Community” of the Jewish Community of Dnipro, implemented by the Zislin family, celebrated its two-year anniversary with a big party in the style of the 90s, which was held in the Ballroom of the Menorah Center.

“More than seventy guys and girls came to the celebration and everything was very stylish, in the atmosphere of the 90’s – bar, lounge and photo zone, many guys came in images, everything was very bright and beautiful, – Levi Zislin, the head of the project “Menorah Community” told our website, – we were welcomed in his video message by the Chief Rabbi of Dnipro and the region Shmuel Kaminetsky, the President of “Menorah Community” Natan Zolotarevsky and the rabbi of our project Reuven Kaminetsky spoke. They all emphasized how well we are working, noted the importance of unity and wished us to continue and increase in our work.”

Rabbi David Waskowski, one of Menorah Community’s teachers, was the host of the celebration. In the style of the 90s, he presented each new event of the holiday in a bright and colorful way – a video of the Rebbe, a presentation of memorable moments of two years of work, and contests. The culmination of the holiday was the honoring of the best teachers of Menorah Community: Reuven Kaminetsky, Zalman Rabinovich, David Vaskovsky, Akiva Romanovsky, Edna Yudovich, Leah Mayevsky, Aliza Rabinovich, as well as the family of project leaders Esti and Levi Zislin, who were presented with memorable gifts with words of sincere gratitude.

“We are very proud of the results of our work, how many we organized laying tefillin, how many attached mezuzahs, how many guys made brit milah, and girls took Jewish names, but we want to do much more, – said Levi Zislin, – in ancient times believed, that the world stands on three whales and let it not be so with the whole world, but our project definitely stands on three whales and these are our favorite and dear Chief Rabbi of Dnipro Shmuel Kaminetsky, president of “Menorah Community” Natan Zolotarevsky and rabbi of the project Reuven Kaminetsky, thanks to whom we have been working for two years and look forward to the future”.
