At the “Golden Rose” Synagogue this year, the Megillah was read multiple times, filling the hall with special Purim joy. Following the main morning reading, which took place immediately after the Shacharis prayer, four additional readings were held throughout the day – ensuring that everyone had the opportunity to fulfill the mitzvah and hear the words of the Megillah. According to tradition, the Megillah is heard twice: in the evening, as the holiday begins, and in the morning – on Purim day itself.
The main Megillas Esther reading was led by Rabbi Moshe Leib Weber, director of the “Kollel Torah” project. Those present attentively and carefully followed the text – some from handwritten scrolls, some from printed editions, and some from electronic versions, maintaining unity in the communal listening of the sacred words.
Following the reading, the community shared Purim refreshments and joyfully fulfilled the other mitzvos of the holiday – Mishloach Manos and generous gifts to the needy, which are traditionally given on Purim, increasing the light of joy and mutual support.
