New Video on the Channel: “How Do Radical Movements Destroy Our World?”

A new lesson from the cycle of weekly classes by the Chief Rabbi of Dnipro, Shmuel Kaminezki, dedicated to the Torah portion of Vayeira, has been released on the “Menorah” YouTube channel. The Rav reflects on the nature of good and evil, the danger of extremes, and how the deeds of individual people can influence the fates of entire generations.

At the center of the lesson are two opposite examples. Avraham, showing boundless hospitality and care for others, and the inhabitants of Sodom, who turned cruelty and the refusal to help those in need into the foundation of their city’s life. Why is kindness capable of bringing blessing, while a society built on indifference and the prohibition of mercy comes to destruction? Rav Shmuel Kaminezki reveals the spiritual meaning of these stories and invites reflection on the consequences of human choice.

Special attention is given to the story of Lot’s daughter and one seemingly small deed that acquires enormous significance. This theme becomes a starting point for a discussion about raising children: sometimes it is precisely a single word, an act of kindness, or a personal example that helps a child form an understanding of right and wrong and influences their subsequent life.

How does one preserve the balance between kindness and exactingness? Why is it important not to remain indifferent to another’s misfortune, and what role do everyday deeds play in education? The new lesson invites one to look at familiar questions through the prism of the Torah and to find in ancient stories guideposts for modern life.
