“Purim Wonderland” – “Hillel” invited to the land of fairy tales

This year, the Hillel ESCC, together with partners – the Native Israeli Cultural Center in Dnipro, the Sokhnut-Ukraine branch and Moishe House Dnipro – offered a Purim party in the land of fairy tales with popular characters from children’s books and films.

The celebration took place at the Poplavok restaurant on the Dnipro embankment and was attended by about seventy people. Guests were offered interactive zones inspired by fairy tale characters: the Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit, the Red Queen, the Cheshire Cat, the Blue Caterpillar and the Tin Man. At each of them, participants could test their attentiveness, show creativity and pass various tests. Purim roulette, the celebration of the Day of the Not-Born, the author’s Purim game and solving the secrets of the holiday became an integral part of this unforgettable evening.

“Guests could try on festive masks or costumes, becoming a part of this magical story,” says Alyona Kolpina, director of the Hillel YCC, “there were many competitions, the central one of which was the “Best Costume” competition, and special festive stations added a special charm to the event. The bright culmination of the event was the final DJ set, which transported everyone to an even more exciting atmosphere. The rhythms of the music intertwined with the traditions of the holiday, and the dances were a wonderful end to this incredible journey into the world of fantasy. “Purim Wonderland” became not just a celebration, but a real immersion in a fairy-tale reality, where everyone found their place and could express themselves through a bright image. This Purim gave unforgettable impressions and will remain in the hearts of the participants for a long time.”
