At the “Beit Sarah” project of the Dnipro Jewish Community—a program for women of the golden age led by renowned Jewish revival activist Liuba Simcha (Luisa) Tsitsuashvili—Rosh Chodesh Adar was welcomed in an atmosphere of special joy and gratitude.
The festive gathering began with a discussion of the significance of the month of Adar in Jewish tradition and Chabad teachings. Liuba Simcha (Luisa) Tsitsuashvili reminded the participants of the Sages’ words that “when Adar enters, we increase in joy.” She spoke in detail about the spiritual meaning of this time, the hidden miracles of Purim, and the inner strength of the Jewish people that reveals itself precisely during periods of challenge. Special attention was given to how the Lubavitcher Rebbe explained the significance of Adar as a time for strengthening trust in Hashem, deepening faith, and actively increasing goodness through concrete actions.
In honor of Rosh Chodesh Adar, the community prepared a festive meal for the program participants as a special gift—emphasizing the importance of welcoming this unique period in the Jewish calendar in an atmosphere of joy and celebration. During the gathering, the women not only listened to explanations of the Chassidic perspective on this month but also shared their thoughts, raised “le’chaim” with wishes for health, joy, and blessings for one another, filling the beginning of the new month with a warm atmosphere of unity.
“We are deeply grateful to the Dnipro Jewish Community and its Chief Rabbi, Shmuel Kaminezki, for their care for our women,” said project director Liuba Simcha (Luisa) Tsitsuashvili. “It is very important for us to begin the new month precisely this way—with joy, awareness of its spiritual meaning, and a feeling of support. This festive Rosh Chodesh Adar meal was a true expression of attention and kindness for the participants of our program, and we sincerely appreciate this opportunity to welcome the new month together.”
