The second day of the session took place at the “Nitzotzot Kdusha” girls day camp, organized by the Jewish Community of Dnipro with the support of the Jewish Relief Network Ukraine charity organization. Continuing their exploration of the Beis HaMikdash, the participants devoted this day to studying the copper Mizbe’ach and its spiritual significance.
The thematic session was led by Morah Sheina Smilanskaya, who explained to the girls the purpose of the copper Mizbe’ach and the inspiration and joy with which the Kohanim would hurry to perform their service to the Almighty in the Holy Temple. The participants were able to reinforce their new knowledge through an interactive Kahoot quiz, where they answered questions on the day’s topic in a fun and engaging format.
After the learning session, the girls enjoyed an exciting trip to the Crazy Land entertainment center. The fun-filled outing was a natural continuation of the eventful day, giving the participants many vivid impressions, joyful emotions, and the opportunity to further strengthen their friendships.
In keeping with camp tradition, each participant received a second bead for her personal bracelet—symbolizing another “spark of holiness” uncovered through new knowledge, good deeds, and active participation in the life of “Nitzotzot Kdusha.”
“Each new day of our camp opens up new chapters of Jewish tradition for the girls and helps them gather more and more ‘sparks of holiness,’ represented by the beads on their bracelets,” said Leah Lazareva, director of the “Nitzotzot Kdusha” camp. “There are still many exciting discoveries, new knowledge, vivid impressions, and joyful events ahead for our participants. We are delighted to see with what interest and inspiration the girls are living through each day of this session, feeling the warmth and care of the united and cohesive Jewish Community of Dnipro under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”
