The results of the regional Olympiad in the Hebrew language and Jewish tradition, organized by a branch of the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, have been summarized. All three first-degree diplomas in their respective age categories were won by students of the Levi Yitzchak Schneerson Jewish Lyceum No. 144, the leading educational institution of the Dnipro Jewish Community.
As reported by the lyceum administration, based on the competition results, the first places in their age groups were taken by: Feldman Chaya Menucha, a 9th-grade student; Segal Fruma Esther, a 10th-grade student; Nachshon Rosa Shoshana, an 11th-grade student. Significant assistance in preparing the lyceum students for this Olympiad was provided by the talented shluchos of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Morah Chavi Engelsman and Morah Maryasha Heifer.
“We congratulate the girls on this result, as this achievement is the outcome not only of natural talent but also of daily diligent work, love for their native language and culture,” emphasizes the lyceum director, Olena Krasnova. “Special thanks to the teachers of the Judaic Studies department for the high-quality preparation, professionalism, and support of the students on their path to victory. We thank the parents for their belief in their children and the joint effort. We wish our winners further success in their studies and new exciting projects that the united and close-knit Dnipro Jewish Community under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki will be proud of.”
