The Annual Kinus Hashluchim – International Conference of the Rebbe’s Emissaries – is Underway in New York

The global forum brings together thousands of rabbis and Chabad emissaries from over 110 countries worldwide, who continue the Rebbe’s mission: to strengthen Jewish life, support communities, and bring the light of Torah and good deeds to every Jew, no matter where they live.

In the first days of the conference, Crown Heights was filled with a special atmosphere of unity. Rabbis from around the world arrived in New York, met friends and colleagues, participated in the Kinus opening ceremony, listened to inspiring speeches, and discussed shared challenges. During the official evening session, a video was shown about the development of the shluchim network and their impact in all corners of the world, words of gratitude and support were heard, and a farbrengen of the Lubavitcher Rebbe for Yud Beis Tammuz was broadcast.

One of the significant traditional events of the conference was the visit of the shluchim to the Ohel of the Rebbe, Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the most visited Jewish holy site outside of Israel. It is here that the emissaries pray for their families, their communities, and the entire Jewish people, drawing inspiration and spiritual strength for the entire year ahead. Thousands of shluchim gathered at the Ohel to recite Tehillim together, submit their panim (written requests), and pray for the Jewish people. A “Pan Klali” (general request) was also read on behalf of all communities worldwide.

As noted by Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, Director of the International Kinus Hashluchim: “These shluchim carry on their shoulders the pain and challenges of the Jewish people – from war zones to daily human struggles. Here, at the Rebbe’s Ohel, they draw the strength that enables them to return home and continue to support, inspire, and give hope to millions of Jews around the world.”

The Kinus continues, with more meetings, sessions, learning programs, and warm Chassidic farbrengens ahead. This evening will feature the traditional grand banquet, which will gather thousands of shluchim and serve as the solemn conclusion of the global gathering.
