Volunteers from Dnipro Volunteer Community, based at the Jewish Student Cultural Center “Hillel,” hosted a heartwarming and inspiring art workshop for clients of the Hesed Menachem charity foundation. The event took place as part of the “Art of Unity” project, which aims to connect generations through shared artistic expression.
This time, participants created their own stained glass paintings on acrylic, using vivid colors and their imagination. The workshop was introductory in nature: everyone learned basic techniques — but most importantly, they found the inspiration to keep creating. Thanks to a personal approach, each piece was unique, with no two works alike. The participants enthusiastically expressed their creativity, and the finished artworks became cherished keepsakes and beautiful home decorations.
A special highlight of the event was the warm intergenerational atmosphere. Young volunteers — Mira Sokolova and Mykola Kucheriavyi — supported older participants during the creative process and attentively listened to their stories and life experiences. This heartfelt interaction became a true bridge of understanding, respect, and emotional connection.
“‘The Art of Unity’ isn’t just about learning new techniques — it creates space for dialogue, mutual enrichment, and the discovery of personal potential. Art is a universal language that knows no age,” said Alona Kolpina, director of the Jewish Student Cultural Center “Hillel.”
Dnipro Volunteer Community thanks all participants for their sincerity, energy, and desire to create together. Stay tuned for more warm and creative gatherings ahead!
