The Final Session of the “Gan Levi Yitzchak–2025” Retreat Has Concluded

The final session of the wonderful “Gan Levi Yitzchak” retreat has come to a festive close. Organized by the Jewish Community of Dnipro with the support of JRNU Chabad Ukraine, the retreat was held at the luxurious and comfortable Kohavi Forest Club, nestled in a picturesque and ecologically clean location on the banks of the Samara River. It served as a charitable project for psychological and social rehabilitation in cooperation with JMC, and was designed for families of the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s emissaries serving in Dnipro, as well as for other religious families.

The retreat concluded just before the beginning of the month of Av — the first days of which are marked by mourning for the destruction of the First and Second Temples. Thankfully, the program wrapped up before this solemn period, and its ending was filled with brightness, joy, and inspiration. The participants enjoyed a vibrant summer experience filled with diverse programs and activities, surrounded by beautiful nature, along with children’s and sports programming, evening events — all within a warm, Yiddishkeit-filled atmosphere.

For the children, the final day featured a special “Store” event, where boys and girls were able to exchange points earned through learning, games, and contests for wonderful prizes and souvenirs. The program was conducted in the spirit of the global children’s movement “Tzivos Hashem,” led by talented madrichot Sheina and Esti Segal, along with Fani Gaysinskaya and Malka Brez.

Adults enjoyed a special closing evening that offered the chance to relive the retreat’s brightest moments — including a video clip showcasing the joy and highlights of the summer experience gifted to the community by the Jewish Community of Dnipro.

“All three sessions of our retreat passed like a single day — vivid, joyful, and unforgettable,” said Retreat Director Leah Brez. “We are grateful to everyone who worked with us, who helped and supported this effort — a charitable project of psychological and social rehabilitation in cooperation with JMC. And we can proudly say that we fulfilled the mission set by the Jewish Community of Dnipro and its Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki — the 2025 summer retreat was a great success.
