The “Mitzvah Agent” preschool camp of the Dnipro Jewish Community, like other community summer programs, is supported by the Jewish Relief Network Ukraine. Its program is specially designed for the youngest campers and helps them take their first steps into the world of Jewish traditions in a joyful, playful way, discovering the values of the Torah, fulfilling the commandments, and love for their people.
The camp is based on the “Tzivos Hashem” concept, where each child feels like a member of a true “children’s army,” fulfilling an important and honorable mission of good deeds. Each new day at the “Mitzvah Agent” camp is dedicated to a theme exploring various aspects of Jewish life and drawing on the famous “Ten Mivtzoim of the Rebbe.” Children learn about the Torah, tefillin, Shabbat, mezuzah, tzedakah, and Agavat Yisroel. They learn about a house filled with Jewish books, reflect on Moshiach, and discover many other important concepts, gradually accumulating their own “treasures” of good deeds and new knowledge.
Each day at the camp is filled with a variety of events. After prayer, reading psukim, dancing, and fun exercises, the children enjoy quests, creative workshops, educational games, exciting shows, baking, trips, and many other activities that help children absorb new knowledge easily and with interest. Preparation for the main event of the Jewish week—Queen Shabbat—is a special focus. An integral part of the program are daily creative assignments and special symbolic beads, which campers receive to mark their new achievements and successes.
Madrichim Dvosya Simcha Romanovskaya and Fanya Gaysinskaya work with the children, and Adel Susorova coordinates the camp, focusing on ensuring that each day brings the children new knowledge, vibrant experiences, and the joy of social interaction.
“We truly want our children to associate Jewish tradition with joy, kindness, friendship, and happy memories from their earliest years,” says Adel Susorova, administrator of the Mitzvah Agent camp. “That’s why we strive to ensure that every day is filled with new discoveries, interesting activities, and genuine children’s emotions. We wholeheartedly thank the Jewish Relief Network Ukraine for supporting our camp, as well as everyone who helps create this special atmosphere for the children. And, of course, this camp is part of the greater commitment to the Jewish future that drives our dear, united, and cohesive Jewish Community of Dnipro, under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”
