The Light of a Woman’s Soul: Another Meeting of the “Menorah Community” Project

Another meeting of the women’s club within the “Menorah Community” youth project of the Dnipro Jewish Community was held in Dnipro. The project, actively developed by Levi and Esti Zislin, continues to grow and bring people together. This time, the participants gathered for a special class with Leah Maevskaya — a meeting that became not only a moment for reflection on deep themes but also a time to connect with like-minded souls.

The weekly Torah portion “Shelach” was at the heart of the discussion — the story of the spies, the fear of the unknown, and the strength of the minority who keep their faith even when the majority falls into doubt. The conversation explored how fear can distort perception, lead one away from their mission, and how crucial it is to view reality through the eyes of faith.

“We also spoke about feminine righteousness,” shared project leader Esti Zislin, “about the quiet strength that holds up the world. About resilience, trust, and the ability to carry light even in challenging times. Leah spoke simply and sincerely — her words were full of support and meaning.”

The gathering took place in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Each participant left with a sense of inspiration and inner light that will remain with them for a long time.
