The Lyceum Prepares for Lag BaOmer

At the leading educational institution of the Jewish Community of Dnipro — the Levi Yitzchak Schneerson Jewish Lyceum No. 144 — preparations are underway for the celebration of Lag BaOmer, one of the brightest and most exciting Jewish holidays, much loved by both children and adults.

Students in the fourth, fifth, and sixth grades took part in fascinating classes led by Malki Feldman. The children not only learned a lot about the history and customs of the holiday but also enthusiastically created touching paper crafts that highlighted the themes and symbols associated with Lag BaOmer.

Now the students are preparing to celebrate together with the entire Jewish community of Dnipro. As always, they are eagerly looking forward to the many sports competitions and fun activities — and above all, the children’s parade, which takes place in Dnipro just as it does in many cities around the world. This tradition was established by the Seventh Lubavitcher Rebbe, Menachem Mendel Schneerson.
