The Dnipro yeshiva named after Rabbi Levi-Yitzhak Schneerson has begun the second stage of preparations for the 123rd anniversary of the birth of the Head of our generation, the Seventh Lubavitcher Rebbe Menachem-Menedl Schneerson, which the world will celebrate on Nisan 11 (April 9, 2025).
“Each yeshiva student received a special binder, similar to a business card holder, where they are to collect special cards with information about the Rebbe,” said the yeshiva’s director, Rabbanit Hana Segal. “Every day, children study a topic, and those who do it successfully will receive two cards from the teacher, so that by April 9 they will be able to collect a complete collection. Each card contains information in Hebrew and Ukrainian about a certain period of the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s life and activities – about his childhood, wedding, life in Paris, arrival in the USA, about audiences, farbrenghen, mivtsoim and the development of Chabad under his leadership. Children learn this information and on the Rebbe’s birthday we will organize a chidon – a big competition between classes.”
This educational game, which stimulates students to learn more about 20th century Jewish history, about the activities of the Lubavitcher Rebbe and about the development of Chabad, is very exciting and inspiring, so students are already filling their notebooks with bright cards with interesting information with great enthusiasm.
