The main event of the third evening of Hanukkah in Dnipro was the lighting of the candles on the city’s main Hanukkiah, installed in the world’s largest Jewish center, “Menorah.”
The host of the main Hanukkiah lighting ceremony, Reb Shlomo Tereshkevich, welcomed all present to the holiday and suggested watching a video of the leader of our generation, the Seventh Lubavitcher Rebbe, Menachem Mendel Schneerson.
The Chief Rabbi of Dnipro and the region, Shmuel Kaminezki, warmly greeted everyone who came to the celebration and invited the esteemed member of the Dnipro Jewish Community, who actively supports many projects of the Jewish revival – Fedir Mykhailovych Tkachman – to light the candles of the third evening of Hanukkah.
After lighting the Hanukkiah with the appropriate blessings, Fedir Mykhailovych Tkachman addressed the Dnipro Jewish Community and wished everyone peace and victory for a bright and joyous Hanukkah holiday.
On the second Hanukkiah in the Gallery of the center, the candles of the holiday were lit with the appropriate blessings by an emissary of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, a teacher at yeshivas in Dnipro, Rabbi Moisha Noiman.
The festive mood for all present was created by the performance of a vocal trio, which gifted the listeners with their rendition of popular Jewish Hanukkah songs. For the children, many special activities were prepared: virtual reality games, fun animators, a clown performance, and much more. Everyone who came to the celebration was able to taste Hanukkah treats and participate in a lottery with valuable prizes.
