The third day of the session took place at the “Nitzotzot Kdusha” girls day camp, organized by the Jewish Community of Dnipro with the support of the Jewish Relief Network Ukraine charity organization. Continuing their exploration of the sacred vessels of the Beis HaMikdash, the participants devoted this day to studying the Ner Tamid—the western lamp of the Menorah, which miraculously never went out and symbolized the constant presence of the Almighty.
The thematic session helped the girls gain a deeper understanding of the spiritual significance of the Ner Tamid and its special place in the service of the Holy Temple. The theme continued with a unique outdoor activity—the campers gathered around a cozy bonfire, roasted marshmallows, socialized, played, and spent a warm evening together filled with joy, friendship, and good cheer.
In keeping with camp tradition, each participant received another bead for her personal bracelet—symbolizing yet another “spark of holiness” uncovered through new knowledge, good deeds, and active participation in the life of “Nitzotzot Kdusha.”
The approaching Shabbos Chazon added special significance to the third day. The girls learned about the teaching of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, according to which on this Shabbos, every person is shown a spiritual vision of the future Beis HaMikdash, inspiring them to bring its rebuilding closer through their good deeds.
“Each day at ‘Nitzotzot Kdusha’ helps the girls not only to learn more about Jewish tradition but also to feel how spiritual knowledge becomes part of their everyday lives,” said Leah Lazareva, director of the “Nitzotzot Kdusha” camp. “We are delighted that even the simplest moments—shared learning, games, and friendly camaraderie—help the participants carry the warmth with them into Shabbos, feeling the care of the united and cohesive Jewish Community of Dnipro under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”
