New York hosted the world’s largest gathering of Jewish leaders – the International Kinus Hashluchim, which annually brings together Chabad rabbis from all corners of the globe. One of the most recognizable and anticipated traditions has become the large group photograph, symbolizing the unity, strength, and invincibility of the Jewish people.
Rabbis from 111 countries and over 6,000 communities stand shoulder to shoulder in front of the Chabad World Headquarters in Crown Heights. This frame is not just a photo – it is a powerful sign of the resilience and spiritual mission carried out by shluchim worldwide. In a year when many Jews feel loneliness and pressure, this image provides hope and confidence.
“This year’s Kinus is taking place at a time when the Jewish people need support and hope. The shluchim are a global system of spiritual assistance, standing on the front lines of their communities’ needs day after day,” notes Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, Director of the International Conference of Shluchim. “This photo proclaims: the Jewish people are alive, strong, proud, and will remain so forever.”
You can appreciate the scale of the event and see the address by the Chief Rabbi of Dnipro, Shmuel Kaminezki (at the 48-minute mark), in the video.
