“Unusual Days” in Mahon

On the eve of Purim and Mahon, “Haya-Mushka” organized an event called “Unusual Days,” because the Lubavitcher Rebbe emphasized that “everything turns upside down” in the month of Adar, and organizing a carnival on Purim is an ancient Jewish tradition.

“The goal was to make every day different and to make this unusualness be realized by the girls,” said Amora Sheina Smilyanska, “for example, we organized a “color day,” where each class had to come in clothes of a specified color – some classes only in yellow, some in red, purple, or some other. And on another day, each girl had to somehow play the image of a baby – either with a toy, or an accessory, or in some other way show her creativity. This increased the joy, which is what should happen in the month of Adar.”

At the same time, preparations are underway in the mahon for a grand concert, which should also take place in the month of Adar and bring even more joy to Jewish women.
