Winners of the “Star Way” – Jewish Lyceum Students

It was recently announced that two sixth-grade students of the Levi Yitzchak Schneerson Jewish Lyceum No. 144 – Volodymyr Horokhov and Lev Kupianskyi – became winners of the prestigious 23rd All-Ukrainian Research Conference-Competition “Star Way,” held in the last decade of April. The event was organized by the O.M. Makarov National Center for Aerospace Education of Youth.

“Star Way” is a major annual event that brings together young scientists, teachers, and space dreamers from all over Ukraine. This year’s conference saw a record number of participants: 159 school and university students from 14 regions of Ukraine submitted 153 research papers in 10 scientific and practical fields.

The Jewish lyceum students won first place in their age group in the fields of “Computer Technology” (Volodymyr Horokhov) and “Spirituality and Space” (Lev Kupianskyi). Both students were mentored by their teacher, Olha Borysenko.

“Under the wise guidance of computer science teacher Olha Borysenko, our young talents demonstrated a high level of knowledge, creativity, and perseverance, winning first place in their categories,” emphasized Lyceum Director Olena Krasnova. “This significant victory is the result of their dedicated work, curiosity, ability to think creatively, and skill in presenting their achievements. Participation in such a prestigious competition is already a major accomplishment, and winning it proves the exceptional talent and potential of our young researchers.”

The Jewish community of Dnipro and the Jewish Lyceum warmly congratulate Volodymyr Horokhov and Lev Kupianskyi on their well-deserved victory and wish them continued success in their scientific endeavors. Special thanks go to their teacher Olha Borysenko for her inspiration, support, and professional guidance that helped the students realize their talents.
