The JBBBS (Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters) project of the Dnipro Jewish Community is a space of support, friendship, and development for children and teenagers. Every Sunday, participants of the program have the opportunity to spend time together, discover new experiences, and feel genuine care and attention from mentors and volunteers.
While winter confidently holds sway in our hometown, delighting us with frost and snow, it’s the perfect time not to stay home but to set out for adventure. This Sunday, the JBBBS program dedicated the day to active winter recreation and gathered participants at the “Lavina” amusement park.
“We went tubing in a circle of friends, laughed, shared emotions, and soaked up that special winter mood that stays with you for a long time,” shares the project leader, Tatiana Kaplunska.
The frost nipped at our cheeks, but the cheerful atmosphere, sincere communication, and friendly support warmed us up as well as hot tea. Volunteers and older participants of the program gladly helped the younger children – offering support, encouragement, and ensuring everyone felt confident, safe, and could fully enjoy the day.
Such gatherings provide not only bright impressions but also a sense of unity, care, and the genuine family atmosphere that defines the JBBBS program.
We sincerely thank the Jewish communities of Dnipro and Greater Boston, as well as Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki, for their constant support and the opportunity to organize meaningful and joyful leisure activities for the children.
We invite you to join our upcoming gatherings – the JBBBS program runs every Sunday, and there is much more to come.
