Zoara Pudykova, a member of the Dnipro Jewish Community and Acting Head of the Council of Jewish Sports Veterans of Dnipro, successfully performed at the rapid draughts championship held in the city of Zhovkva, dedicated to the memory of the outstanding Ukrainian draughts player and referee Yuriy Nosalyuk.
The tournament took place as part of the “First Yuriy Nosalyuk Memorial” for 64-square draughts and brought together participants who competed in an individual event using a system determined by the number of players, with a time control of 10 minutes plus 5 seconds per move. The competition was held with the support of the Lviv Regional Draughts Federation.
Following the results of the competition, Zoara Pudykova demonstrated confident play and took an honorable third place, a significant achievement and a worthy result at a tournament of this level.
“This is not only my personal success but also a contribution to the sporting glory of our Council of Jewish Sports Veterans and our entire wonderful community,” emphasizes Zoara Pudykova. “I told the participants at the competition about our community, about how much it does in various areas, including sports, and I hope that I was able to be a worthy representative of the united and cohesive Dnipro Jewish Community under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”
