At the “Beit Baruch” Senior Residence of the Jewish Community of Dnipro, care extends far beyond comfortable living conditions. The staff is equally committed to enriching the residents’ cultural and spiritual lives and safeguarding their physical well-being — a particularly vital aspect in old age.
Olha Mykolaivna Moshenets, an experienced rehabilitation specialist, regularly conducts therapeutic exercise classes tailored to the needs of elderly individuals. These sessions are currently held outdoors in the cozy, well-equipped courtyard of the facility. Since many residents require assistive devices for mobility, the exercises are adapted accordingly. The program focuses on strengthening muscles, improving joint mobility, and enhancing overall physical condition.
“This kind of activity is especially important for maintaining both physical and emotional health,” explains Malvina Ruvinska, Director of Beit Baruch. “Our residents report feeling more energetic and confident — and these sessions are truly a meaningful step toward active and balanced aging.”
