At the “Beit Baruch” Jewish Community Senior Home in Dnipro, they strongly believe that creative activity has a highly positive impact on both physical and mental health and contributes to the longevity of elderly residents.
One form of such creative engagement is assembling mosaics from small colorful pieces. This practice supports cognitive functions, enhances fine motor skills, and improves coordination. The sessions are held regularly and are led by the Home’s qualified psychologist, Anzhelika Basha, who selects tasks individually, taking into account each person’s age and health condition.
“This is very interesting and truly beneficial for each of us,” says Tatyana Nizevich, a long-time resident of “Beit Baruch.” “Everyone enjoys creating these beautiful pieces, and thanks to Anzhelika Basha’s work, we understand that this is just a part of our shared vision of the universe and of ourselves. We eagerly look forward to every such meeting.”
