This year, the “Beit Baruch” Senior Home, a unique social institution of the Dnipro Jewish Community, decided to jointly mark two important dates: the 24th anniversary of “Beit Baruch’s” activities and the celebration of one of the most significant dates in the Chassidic calendar, Yud Shvat.
For this occasion, a large festive concert was prepared. It featured both the talented residents of “Beit Baruch,” united in a creative studio under the guidance of social worker Rivka Lazareva, and great friends of the Senior Home – students from the younger grades of the Levi Yitzchak Schneerson Jewish Lyceum No. 144.
The concert turned out to be vibrant and heartwarming, enjoyed by both the audience and the participants – the youngest and those referred to as people of the “golden age.” They sincerely supported each other, applauded, and sang along to familiar melodies, creating a unique atmosphere of passing on a living, direct Jewish tradition from generation to generation.
“In late January 2002, our Home opened its doors, and since then, we have helped many lonely elderly people spend their later years in comfort, warmth, and coziness, surrounded by love and care,” says the Director of “Beit Baruch,” Malvina Ruvinskaya. “Every single day of these twenty-four years, we have felt constant attention and support and have become an important, deeply integrated part of the united and cohesive Dnipro Jewish Community under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”
