Visit and Festive Concert by Jewish Lyceum Students at Beit Baruch

A visit and festive concert by students of the Levi Yitzchak Schneerson Jewish Lyceum No. 144, the leading educational institution of the Dnipro Jewish Community, took place at the “Beit Baruch” Home for the Elderly, a unique social institution of the Dnipro Jewish Community, in honor of the Pesach holiday.

This meeting became a truly unifying event, in which lyceum students of different ages gifted the residents of the Home an atmosphere of joy, attention, and warmth, filling the space of Beit Baruch with a festive mood and the sense of Pesach approaching.

The concert program featured students from grades 2-A, 4-A, 6, and 10, who prepared diverse performances, each of which found a sincere response from the audience. The performances were met with enthusiastic applause, and the sincerity and heartfelt emotion of the young artists evoked strong feelings in the Home’s residents, even moving some to tears of joy.

A special element of the visit was the display of interior pieces previously donated by the lyceum students – brightly colored decorative panels created by their own hands, featuring sayings from Jewish sages, including the Baal Shem Tov, the Mishnah, and other sources. These works, filled with meaning and attention to tradition, were gifted to Beit Baruch and now adorn its space, creating a special atmosphere and serving as a reminder of the connection between generations.

The preparation of the concert program and organization of the visit were carried out with the participation of the lyceum’s teaching staff. A significant contribution was made by Halyna Nakonechna, Deputy Director for Educational Work, as well as primary school teachers Gayane Arakelyan and Viktoriia Pliner, who accompanied the children and prepared them for this important event.

The residents of the Beit Baruch Home for the Elderly received the guests with great warmth, and every part of the program resonated in the hearts of the audience. As noted by Iryna Lazareva, the creative director of the Beit Baruch studio, such meetings evoke strong positive emotions and give the residents strength and inspiration.

“Such meetings hold special significance for us, because children bring with them sincere joy, attention, and a feeling that our residents are remembered and visited with heartfelt warmth,” said Malvina Ruvinska, Director of Beit Baruch. “This once again confirms that our community is united and cohesive, and this is precisely how the unity of the Dnipro Jewish Community, under the leadership of its Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki, is manifested.”
