A true celebration of creativity, inspiration, and pride in Jewish culture took place at the Levi Yitzchak Schneerson Jewish Lyceum No. 144, the leading educational institution of the Dnipro Jewish Community – the vibrant fashion show “Shabbat Elegance,” featuring students from grades 1 through 11.
Each participant demonstrated their personal vision of Shabbat elegance, proving once again that every child in our community is a bright star! It was more than just a catwalk; it became a genuine festival of style and self-expression, as the event aimed to highlight the uniqueness of every Jewish child and provide an opportunity for creative, modern, yet entirely traditional self-expression.
The event was attended by an expert in tzniut (modest) fashion, Deputy Director for Jewish Traditions, Aliza Rabinovich, who highly praised the lyceum students’ level of understanding of the Jewish perception of beauty and harmony.
“Today’s show proved once again that our children’s clothing can be simultaneously tzniut, stylish, and modern,” summarized Aliza Rabinovich, reflecting on the children’s presentations. “Modesty in Jewish tradition does not restrict – on the contrary, it allows every child to emphasize their individuality, inner beauty, and uniqueness. I am proud of how brightly and creatively the children expressed themselves today.”
