Traditionally, on the eve of Passover, students of the Levi Yitzhak Schneerson Jewish Lyceum #144 visit the famous Dnipro matzoh bakery Tiferet Matzot, which produces matzoh shmura of the highest degree of kosher.
The first and second graders were the first to visit Tiferet Matzot this year. “The excursion became an integral part of the preparation for the bright holiday of Passover and a great opportunity for children to learn more about the traditions and customs of the Jewish people,” says Aliza Rabinovych, Deputy Director for Jewish Traditions, “It was very interesting for the children to see how matzoh is made, how flour and water turn into something with great spiritual content in a matter of minutes, which we call the Bread of Freedom, which has become almost a symbol of the Jewish people, and is even used as a metonymy.”
The tour for the young lyceum students was conducted by David Yudovich, who paid attention to everyone and made the tour bright and memorable.
The event was held with the support of the Jewish Community of Dnipro.
