The Jewish newspaper “Shabat shalom” is one of the oldest in Ukraine, its first issue was published in April 1991. A small black-and-white newspaper in the beginning, today it is published in color on 8-12 pages of the main issue. The newspaper was founded by the legendary editor-in-chief Mikhail Karshenbaum. On its pages the edition acquaints readers with the events of Jewish life in the region, publishes journalistic and historical-memoir materials, and pays considerable attention to the popularization of Jewish culture and tradition.
