The Dnipro Jewish Community has launched the sale of chametz before the holiday of Pesach through a new online form. Caring for the needs of every community member to easily and correctly fulfill the requirements of Jewish law, the community has organized the opportunity to arrange the sale of chametz in a convenient online format, which is especially important during the days of preparation for the holiday.
By filling out a special form, everyone can authorize the Chief Rabbi of Dnipro, Shmuel Kaminezki, to carry out the sale of chametz in accordance with tradition and the requirements of Halachah. The form requires providing one’s surname and given name, residential address, as well as the location where the chametz will be kept throughout the entire holiday of Pesach. Additionally, the participant confirms a legal declaration according to which they empower the rabbi to execute the sale of all chametz belonging to them and related accessories.
The form must be completed by 6:00 PM on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 (13 Nissan 5786). After this, the rabbi will include all received authorizations in the general procedure for the sale of chametz, which is conducted before the onset of the Pesach holiday.
