On the eve of Purim, the students of the Beit LeBanim boarding school, at the invitation of Igal Rogovy, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Jewish Community of Dnipro, attended one of the matches of the Ukrainian Youth Hockey Championship, which made a great impression on the Jewish children.<\/p>

<\/p>

\u201cIt was very unexpected and very inspiring,\u201d said Rabbi David Vaskovsky, the director of educational work, \u201cat first we could not even imagine how wonderful it would be, but the children very quickly got carried away, actively cheered, rejoiced at every goal scored, experienced every sporting moment and received a lot of positive emotions. Now many people ask to sign them up for hockey lessons and have become very interested in this sport. I want to express my great gratitude to Igal Rogovy for the opportunity to attend the match in which his son played.\u201d<\/p>

<\/p>

The match, which was attended by the boarding school students, was between the teams of Dnipro (in which Mordechai Rohovyi played) and the Kyiv team Kryzhynka. Dnipro won by a large margin and we are glad to have the opportunity to provide the details, which are set out on the website https:\/\/sport.ua<\/a>: \u201cIn the match of the underdogs of the Ukrainian championship, Kryzhynka was the first to open the score, but the intrigue did not last long, as the Kyiv team came to visit with 11 field players and in the first period Dnipro created a comfortable lead \u2013 plus three goals. <\/p>

<\/p>

In the Kherson Dnipro team, the leader of the attacks, Dmytro Khalin, managed a productive match, who scored a double and made two assists. Maksym Zhovtyak also scored a hat-trick in seven and a half minutes of the third period. <\/p>

<\/p>

The Kherson team made more than 50 shots on Danylo Makarenko\u2019s goal.<\/p>

<\/p>

In the standings, Dnipro scored 15 points and remained in fifth place with six rounds remaining in the regular season. Kryzhynka is in sixth place without a single point after 24 games. <\/p>
