As part of the educational project “Jewish Dnipro: Memory, Identity, Community”, supported by Joint Ukraine, the JS\u0421C “Hillel” organized its second guided tour \u2014 this time to the Museum of the Jewish People and the Holocaust in Ukraine.<\/p>

This museum, one of the largest Jewish museums in Eastern Europe, serves as a vital space for reflection on shared history, pain, and memory. Its exhibitions cover a wide range of topics \u2014 from the centuries-old history of the Jewish community in Ukraine to the horrors of the Holocaust and the significant contributions of Jews to Ukrainian society. Unique archival documents, personal stories, and numerous artifacts allow visitors to feel the pulse of the past and recognize its echoes in the present. <\/p>

“During the tour, participants had the opportunity to explore the tragic and heroic chapters of Jewish history in great depth. The emotionally charged and well-structured presentation, focus on real testimonies, and a living dialogue with the past left a profound impression on everyone present,” said Hillel Director Olena Kolpina.<\/p>

Especially moving were the accounts of Jewish life in Dnipro before, during, and after World War II. These stories \u2014 not only of suffering but also of resistance, solidarity, and survival \u2014 revealed new dimensions of Jewish identity in the Ukrainian context. <\/p>

The event took place during the days when the global Jewish community commemorates the victims of the Shoah, making it a meaningful contribution to Yom HaShoah week. It marked another significant step in preserving historical memory and building a shared identity through reflection on the past. <\/p>
