A special program for seniors \u2013 the \u201cActive Longevity School\u201d \u2013 was launched by the Jewish Medical Center (JMC) for the beneficiaries of the \u201cHesed Menachem\u201d Charitable Foundation. The regular sessions, held in an online format, have become very popular among elderly members of the Jewish community of Dnipro.<\/p>

<\/p>

The latest meeting of the \u201cActive Longevity School\u201d was led by Anastasia Lamza, a highly qualified gerontologist at the JMC medical center. She provided useful medical advice related to age-related changes and answered numerous questions from Hesed beneficiaries who actively participate in the online events held as part of the \u201cCaring Connection\u201d and \u201cLet\u2019s Connect\u201d programs, both initiated by the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC).<\/p>

<\/p>

\u201cOur participants truly enjoy these meetings and always look forward to them,\u201d shared Victoria Opalenko, head of the \u201cFreilachs\u201d club. \u201cThis time, at their request, the topic was osteoarthritis, which is highly relevant for older adults. As always, Dr. Lamza began with a general overview and then answered individual questions \u2014 even those beyond the declared topic. On behalf of all participants in the ‘Active Longevity School’ program, I want to express our sincere gratitude to JMC and the entire Jewish community of Dnipro for their ongoing care for the health of every senior member of the community, and for supporting this and other programs created especially for them.\u201d <\/p>
