To mark the end of the academic year, students of the lower grades of the \u201cChaya Mushka\u201d school \u2014 the leading educational institution for girls in the Jewish community of Dnipro \u2014 were treated to a special field trip to the renowned Dnipro pottery studio of Serhii Horban.<\/p>

<\/p>

In this unique creative space, the girls had the opportunity not only to witness the entire process of crafting ceramics \u2014 from soft clay to a finished piece fired in the kiln \u2014 but also to try their hand at the pottery wheel themselves. They experienced firsthand how, for centuries, everyday objects were created in just this way by artisans in the shtetls of Ukraine and Eastern Europe.<\/p>

<\/p>

\u201cThe girls were absolutely delighted by this encounter with the famous Dnipro workshop, especially with the chance to shape clay with their own hands,\u201d shared teacher Edna Yudovich. \u201cIt\u2019s not just a fun and educational activity that broadens their horizons, and not just a journey into the lifestyle and craftsmanship of past generations \u2014 it\u2019s also a meaningful step toward building ecological awareness, which is increasingly important in our age of rapid technological progress.\u201d<\/p>
