A series of commemorative events took place across Jewish institutions in Dnipro to mark the 133rd anniversary of the birth of Bruno Schulz \u2014 an outstanding Jewish cultural figure, one of the founders of modern European literature, and a native of Drohobych, Ukraine.<\/p>

A special program was organized by the \u201cMuseum of the History of the Jewish People and the Holocaust in Ukraine\u201d in partnership with the \u201cHesed Menachem\u201d Charity Foundation. As part of the museum’s cultural club \u201cFreyakhs,\u201d an online meeting was held with Dr. Yehor Vradiy, Deputy Director for Research at the Jewish Museum. He spoke about Bruno Schulz\u2019s significance in the cultural landscapes of Ukraine, Israel, and Poland, and how Schulz\u2019s legacy continues to be rediscovered today \u2014 as a writer, thinker, and artist of exceptional depth.<\/p>

A feature article dedicated to Bruno Schulz was also published on the official website of the Jewish Museum of Dnipro<\/a><\/p>

The museum had previously begun work on an ambitious three-part documentary film about Bruno Schulz, titled \u201cThree Stories of Bruno\u201d. Two of the episodes have already been released:<\/p>

Unfortunately, due to various objective and subjective reasons, the third episode was never completed, and as of now, the continuation of the series is not in the museum’s immediate plans.<\/p>

We would also like to recall that the website djc.com.ua was among the organizers of the first-ever public presentation of Bruno Schulz\u2019s books in Dnipro, as well as the first cultural event dedicated to his work, which took place back in 2012.
