A new episode on the popular YouTube channel “Menorah” is dedicated to one of the most painful topics of our time \u2013 mental health during wartime. Panic attacks, insomnia, constant anxiety and exhaustion have become everyday reality for millions of people, and the question increasingly arises: where is the line between a normal stress response and a real illness? Can PTSD be cured, or does it remain forever? Why can shell shock be more dangerous than post-traumatic syndrome? <\/p>

<\/p>

Sara Kaminezki, together with her father, Chief Rabbi of Dnipro Shmuel Kaminezki, continues a sincere and frank conversation with renowned psychiatrist, psychotherapist and professor Svetlana Moroz. At the center of the discussion are complex but extremely important questions: how to protect children’s psyche from trauma, what to do for wives whose husbands return from war as different people, how to distinguish ordinary fatigue from depression, and why an explosion can forever change how the brain works. <\/p>

The conversation also includes a deep religious aspect \u2013 how Judaism views suicide in a state of mental illness. This is not only a medical or psychological discussion, but also a vitally important conversation about strength of spirit, faith and paths to healing. <\/p>
