Following the summer break, the teen program “DJCY \u2013 STL Teens \u2013 EnerJew,” implemented by the Jewish Community of Dnipro with the support of STL and the JRNU Foundation’s EnerJew project, held a grand opening for its new season.<\/p>

The event took place in the informal education space on the 8th floor of the world’s largest Jewish center, “Menora.” The program participants were warmly welcomed by the Chief Rabbi of Dnipro and the region, Shmuel Kaminezki, who wished everyone a successful and enriching season of Sunday meetings within the program. He sincerely thanked the JRNU Foundation for its support of both this program and the entire community as a whole, and he particularly emphasized the importance of proper preparation for Rosh Hashanah during the month of Elul. To conclude, he blew the shofar for all those present.<\/p>

The program coordinator, Beila Letichevskaya, spoke about the theme of the new “DJCY \u2013 STL Teens \u2013 EnerJew” season, which is called “The Hero’s Code.” This is because the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Menachem Mendel Schneerson, repeatedly emphasized that Jews should keep pace with the world and new discoveries. “Since various computer fields and artificial intelligence are developing very actively right now, in our classes we will be analyzing our internal code and developing our leadership skills,” emphasized Beila Letichevskaya.<\/p>

She then introduced the new madrich (counselor) for the “DJCY \u2013 STL Teens \u2013 EnerJew” program\u2014young leader and “Stars Intensive” student Arye Ivakhnenko, who is well-known to those who have participated in children’s programs. From now on, he will be one of the leaders of the teen programs for the Jewish Community of Dnipro. As always, there were many fun games, bright masterclasses, surprises, and gifts. At this meeting, the teens were able to solve their first “code.”<\/p>

Meetings for the “DJCY \u2013 STL Teens \u2013 EnerJew” program will now take place every Sunday at 12:00 PM on the 8th floor (Lift “A”).
