The mobile exhibition “Humanity Over the Abyss of Hell” was presented in the reconstructed video hall of the “Memory of the Jewish People and the Holocaust in Ukraine” Museum. The exhibition was created by the public organization “Center for Memory Policy and Public History Studies ‘Mnemonica'” (Rivne).<\/p>

<\/p>

The exhibition is dedicated to a period of unprecedented bloodshed in human history and one of the most tragic chapters of the past, when the Holocaust and the genocide of the Roma occurred on the territory of Ukraine, particularly in Volyn. The victims of the sharp escalation of interethnic relations in 1943\u20131944 also included Ukrainians, Poles, and Czechs. The exhibition tells several stories \u2013 of those who were destroyed and those who saved. It is dedicated to the personal stories of those rescuers \u2013 ordinary people of various ethnic backgrounds and faiths who valued human life above all else. <\/p>

<\/p>

The presentation of the mobile exhibition was conducted via video link by the Head of the Board and Manager of the “Center for Memory Policy and Public History Studies ‘Mnemonica'”, Dr. Kateryna Popova. The Director of the “Memory of the Jewish People and the Holocaust in Ukraine” Museum, Dr. Iryna Radchenko, expressed gratitude to the authors of this exposition \u2013 the distinguished constellation of professional historians: Professor Maksym Gon, Dr. Nataliia Ivchyk, and Dr. Petro Dolhanov, emphasizing the importance of such exhibitions, especially under current circumstances.<\/p>

<\/p>

The meeting concluded with a discussion featuring questions about the specifics of selecting stories for the exhibition, regional particularities, and other topics.<\/p>
