Thanks to the Dnipro Jewish Community, weekly Torah lessons and the study of Chassidut have resumed in the city of Samara (formerly Novomoskovsk). They now take place every Sunday in the city center under the guidance of Yosef Yitzchak Susorov, a congregant of the “Golden Rose” synagogue.<\/p>

<\/p>

Fifteen to thirty Jews attend each session. At the beginning, Yosef Yitzchak Susorov leads a lesson on the weekly Torah portion. This is followed by a detailed analysis of a Sichah (talk) from the Rebbe based on the weekly portion’s themes. The meeting concludes with a discussion of what lessons and conclusions we can draw for our current reality\u2014what the Torah is pointing our attention to today in light of the teachings of Chassidism.<\/p>

<\/p>

“Currently, we hold our meetings every Sunday in a very relaxed, informal atmosphere with tea, coffee, and light refreshments,” shares Yosef Yitzchak Susorov, an emissary of the Dnipro Jewish Community. “I try to make each lesson interesting and engaging, showing videos and giving examples so that it’s not just theory but also helps the Jews of Samar in the conditions they are currently living in. It seems to me this is very important for continuing Jewish life, even under the current very difficult circumstances.”<\/p>

<\/p>

The activity of resuming weekly Jewish studies and the work of the special emissary are carried out within the framework of the “Association of Jewish Religious Communities of the Region” \u2013 a structural unit of the Dnipro Jewish Community under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
