Hanukkah is over, but what to do with disposable hanukkiahs and boxes with blessings written on them? Should they be taken to the genizah or thrown in the trash? How to do it correctly, answers Rabbi Shmuel Livshits: “Disposable hanukkah does not represent holiness after Hanukkah, they and the boxes on which the blessings are written can be thrown in the trash. You should not bring them to the genizah. I have prepared information on how to do it correctly and with respect.” <\/p>

The oil and wicks left in the menorah after Hanukkah are over are best burned, as they were intended for performing the mitzvah. Oil that remains in the bottle and has not been poured into the menorah can be used in any way \u2013 it has not become holy. <\/p>
